Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 20, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how LiveCoder ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our service at livecoder.net. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
a. Google OAuth Data
When you sign in with Google, we receive and store the following information from your Google account:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your profile picture
This information is used solely to create and manage your LiveCoder account and to display your identity within the application.
b. Session Cookies
We use session cookies to maintain your authenticated state while you use the Service. These cookies are essential for the Service to function and are not used for tracking or advertising purposes.
c. Session and Code Data
When you create or participate in a coding session, we temporarily store the code written during that session along with related session metadata (such as session title, language, and participant information). This data is used to power real-time collaboration and session replay features. All session data is automatically expired and deleted 30 days after session creation.
2. Payment Processing
Credit purchases are processed through Lemon Squeezy, our third-party payment provider. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment card details, bank account information, or other financial data. All payment processing is handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy in accordance with their own privacy policy and security standards.
3. Analytics
We use PostHog (product analytics) and Sentry (error monitoring) to understand how the Service is used and to improve the user experience. PostHog collects anonymized usage data such as pages visited, buttons clicked, and general interaction patterns. Sentry collects error reports and performance data to help us fix bugs. No code content or personal data is included in error reports. We do not send your code content, payment details, or full email address to any analytics service. User identification in analytics is based on internal account IDs, not personal information.
We do not use advertising platforms or share analytics data with third parties for marketing purposes. The third-party services involved in operating the Service are: Google (authentication), Lemon Squeezy (payment processing), PostHog (product analytics), and Sentry (error monitoring).
You can opt out of PostHog tracking by using a browser extension such as an ad blocker or privacy tool that blocks requests to us.i.posthog.com.
